Visa on arrival is only intended for tourists who are visiting Indonesia and not for expatriates intending to work and live for an extended period of time. It is needed by friends or family coming to visit you during your stay in Indonesia. You can obtain a 7 day visa on arrival or 30 days. Visa on arrival can be extended for another 30 days
The requirements for visa on arrival are;
Payment to purchase the visa on arrival which is US$25 for the 30 day visa and US$10 for the 7 day visa, and must be in cash
Round-trip airline ticket
Passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
Immigration officials reserve the right to deny entry to any visitor who is not properly dressed, who doesn’t have proper funds, or may endure the country’s security and public health or morals. These unfortunate will receive a transit visa upon arrival that allows them to hang out until the first flight out. Visa on arrival can be obtained directly when you arrive at certain airports and seaports in Indonesia. This visa cannot be replaced with any other form of immigration letters.
